Established in 1998 by Five Leader Group Co., Ltd., the property began its journey as The Tide Resort, serving as a prominent beachfront destination in Bangsaen, Chonburi. Over the years, it gained recognition for its strategic location opposite Bangsaen Beach and its comprehensive facilities catering to both leisure and business travelers.

In the years leading up to 2024, ONYX Hospitality Group collaborated with The Tide Resort, primarily handling its marketing efforts. This partnership demonstrated consistent business growth and showcased the capabilities of ONYX's management team and staff. Building upon this foundation, on 7 November 2024, a formal agreement was signed between Five Leader Group Co., Ltd. and ONYX Hospitality Group to rebrand the property under the Amari brand.

Following extensive renovations and enhancements, the hotel is set to reopen as Amari Bangsaen in the second quarter of 2025. The revamped property will feature 154 modern guest rooms and suites, upgraded dining options, a signature spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, kids’ club, and expansive event spaces accommodating up to 900 guests. This transformation aims to elevate the guest experience and solidify the hotel's position as a premier destination in the region.
